ai3Bio is a biotechnology company developing one-step treatments that directly eliminate disease-causing Th17 cells to reset the immune system for people with autoimmune disease.
The company says more than 15 million Americans live with autoimmune disease and that current therapies often broadly suppress immunity while leaving the disease-causing cells in place, which can lead to relapse when treatment stops. ai3Bio is betting that its STARx LNP/mRNA platform and T Deplete antibody can remove pathogenic Th17 cells directly, and its $48 million Series A is funding IND-enabling work toward first-in-human trials.
