Apollon builds MOGLU, a wearable needle-free continuous glucose monitor using Raman spectroscopy for diabetes care.
Apollon is trying to remove the main barriers the company and its research partners associate with conventional CGMs—needles, adhesive patches, recurring sensor consumables and their cost—while targeting the hundreds of millions of people with diabetes who lack a needle-free continuous-monitoring option. Its MIT-published study reported 11.3% MARD and accuracy statistically comparable to Abbott and Dexcom, and the latest funding is intended to support broader clinical validation at Joslin Diabetes Center and an FDA De Novo strategy.
