Branch Energy is a Texas retail electricity provider that pairs renewable, fixed-rate power with company-owned behind-the-meter batteries to help commercial customers lower bills and get backup power, while expanding its Arc battery systems for faster power delivery to data centers.
Branch is addressing a grid bottleneck in which AI data centers and broader electrification are driving demand faster than new generation and transmission can be connected, while its Arc systems can be installed at commercial sites in about two days and behind existing meters. The $33 million Series B gives Branch capital to expand from Texas into Illinois and other markets as it targets tens of thousands of distributed batteries and long-term capacity agreements.
