Butterfly Medical builds a minimally invasive implantable device that treats enlarged prostate (BPH) without cutting or removing tissue, for men with BPH.
Butterfly targets a large BPH population with an implantable, reversible procedure intended to restore urinary flow without cutting, burning, or removing tissue, addressing the gap between drugs and invasive surgery. Its $21 million upsized Series C brought reported equity raised to $30M across three rounds and is funding the FDA regulatory path and global commercialization after completion of its pivotal trial, although the device remains investigational in the United States.
