Audit teams face growing evidence volumes, reporting requirements, regulatory scrutiny and capacity constraints, while Cortea's agents review reports, financial statements, disclosures and working papers before sign-off. The company says its technology reviewed more than 4,000 audit reports in the latest season and identified issues requiring attention, and the €12 million seed round is intended to fund more agents, deeper integrations and expansion across the UK, Germany and the United States.
