CScale builds optical interconnects that keep giant AI systems running when links fail, for data centers that connect thousands of accelerators.
CScale says that as AI systems connect thousands of accelerators across dozens of racks, optical failures become an unavoidable fleet-level problem, and its interconnect is designed to contain those failures without interrupting compute. Its $145 million Series C brings total funding to $188 million to accelerate development and commercialization of the technology, with Reuters reporting that the company plans to ship its chips by 2028.
