Electric Plant is pursuing a new way to read plant health directly from electrical activity rather than inferring it from soil, weather, or visual cues, with applications the company says include catching orchard stress early, reducing landscaping losses, and monitoring environmental risks. Its $11.2M seed round funds sensors and Bombadil, a foundation model trained on more than 4 million electrode-hours from 100 species that the company says can generalize across plants and tasks.
