Hop Aero builds autonomous hypersonic rocket-cargo vehicles to deliver supplies within minutes to austere or contested locations for the U.S., its allies, and time-sensitive commercial users.

Hop Aero is targeting the logistics problem that arises when aircraft, ports, roads, or runways cannot move time-critical cargo, proposing a container-launched rocket that can carry 250 kilograms up to 750 kilometers in about 15 minutes. Its $11M fundraise led by Initialized Capital follows a $1.25M U.S. Air Force contract, engine hot-fire, tethered prototype testing, and drone-deployment demonstrations, giving the team capital to develop full-scale Rook 2 while the much harder intact hypersonic landing remains unproven.
