NexThera is a biotech venture that uses recombinant-protein and peptide platforms to develop non-invasive eye-drop therapies for retinal diseases such as wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, as well as biobetters.
NexThera is pursuing a non-invasive eye-drop alternative to repeated intravitreal injections for wet AMD, where current treatment can be uncomfortable and carries risks including infection, bleeding, and retinal detachment.
