Pixel-Flo builds Continuous-Flo™, a fluidic process for display manufacturers to assemble microLED screens continuously and at lower cost.
MicroLED promises 2–5× higher brightness and 2–4× greater efficiency than traditional displays, but mechanical mass transfer makes volume production expensive and difficult to scale. Pixel-Flo’s fluidic self-assembly and slot-die process is intended to cut processing and material costs and move from laboratory development to industrial scale-up, with the £5.25 million Seed round funding commercial-coating demonstrations, team expansion and new lab and office space.
