Rivercell builds a proprietary lab-and-AI platform that generates data on how human cells respond to drugs and genetic changes so its virtual-cell models can predict treatment effects for drug discovery.
Drug discovery is slow and costly, while existing cellular datasets often lack causal interventions, multiple measurements, time-series, and biological context. Rivercell is betting that a purpose-built automated wet lab plus an AI world model trained on its data can predict treatment response across diseases and reduce physical experiments; its $25 million seed led by HV funds scaling the platform and its Paris lab.
