SEGNOS develops and sells temperature-responsive magnetic nanoparticles and diagnostic technologies that help medical and research users separate and detect tiny biomarkers faster and more sensitively.
SEGNOS says conventional micron-scale magnetic beads are difficult to disperse and can cause pipetting errors, while its roughly 100-nanometer temperature-responsive particles are designed to improve capture, separation speed and sensitivity for applications such as blood-drop testing and early biomarker detection. The October 2026 Pre-Series A investment from BP Capital's TUAT 1 fund, whose amount was not disclosed, is intended to accelerate healthcare-testing and in-vitro-diagnostic R&D, alongside traction including a joint study with Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology and a ¥10 million grant from the Ogasawara Toshiaki Memorial Foundation.
