SereNeuro Therapeutics is a preclinical biotechnology company developing non-opioid cell and gene therapies for people with chronic pain, including osteoarthritis joint pain and neuropathic pain.
SereNeuro is pursuing a different answer to chronic pain: SN101 uses living iPSC-derived human pain-sensing neurons injected into an affected joint to relieve pain while preserving joint structure, while SN102 is a gene therapy for trigeminal neuralgia and other neuropathic pain. Its oversubscribed pre-seed financing is intended to move SN101 into IND-enabling work and support SN102, alongside a first NIH SBIR award.
