Sharp Performance is a coaching platform that gives first responders and their spouses confidential one-on-one coaching from people with similar high-risk experience throughout their careers.
Sharp addresses a gap in public-safety support: first responders often avoid resources inside their department because of chain-of-command and confidentiality concerns, while Sharp connects them with coaches who have lived similar pressures outside the department. The company says more than 115 police, fire, and EMS departments have invested in it and members have booked more than 16,000 sessions, and its $18 million Series A is intended to expand access, improve the app and coaching platform, and build additional first-responder health and performance software.
