Solinide Photonics builds silicon-nitride photonic chips and microcomb light sources that replace many lasers with one integrated source for optical links in AI data centres, telecom networks and related infrastructure.
AI data centres must move increasing volumes of data between chips, while conventional laser arrays make optical interconnects power-hungry; Solinide says its silicon-nitride microcomb replaces many discrete lasers with one source and has achieved more than 60% optical conversion efficiency versus a stated 5–10% industry standard. Its €4 million seed round is intended to fund commercialization, engineering and commercial-team expansion, in-house prototyping and scalable European manufacturing, moving the technology from Chalmers research toward deployable AI-datacenter and telecom hardware.
