Tutor is tackling the robotics bottleneck that its pages describe as a shortage of real-world training data and flexible intelligence for variable factory and warehouse work, by deploying fleets into production and using human tutors plus resulting interaction data to train its foundation models. Its latest $75 million Series B brings total capital raised to $117 million and is intended to fund model training plus U.S. manufacturing and deployment of Cassie and Sonny; the company says its robots now work in almost four times as many facilities as a year ago and that nearly a third of recent recipients were existing customers adding more robots.
