Urologic Health builds the niu System, a non-invasive, catheter-free bladder-function testing platform for clinicians and urologists.
Urologic Health is targeting the discomfort and avoidance created by invasive urodynamic testing, which the company says can lead patients to defer or avoid assessment, with niu's catheter-free capture of bladder activity. Its $11 million seed is aimed at clinical validation, the FDA 510(k) pathway, product and manufacturing development, and initial U.S. commercialization, while early feasibility studies have shown that clinically meaningful bladder activity can be captured non-invasively.
