Warhound says more than 80% of U.S. military working dogs are acquired from Europe and fewer than half of the dogs procured ultimately pass the roughly three-year acquisition-and-training pipeline, making supply and training a national-security and animal-welfare problem. Its $200 million seed round is a large bet on combining Colossal's genetics, biobanking, and cloning capabilities with Anduril's cybernetic equipment and software to create a domestic supply of healthier, more capable working dogs.
